Yesterday purchased and installed Office Professional Plus and Project Professional on a clean install of Window 7 bit. Went to Microsoft Office Language Preferences and followed the links there to add a Korean language pack. No errors on install. However, before I had ever selected any other languages as default, my Start Menu looks like this:. I checked the settings again in Microsoft Office Language Preferences and all were still defaulted to English.
I know I can just rename the menu entries. I’m concerned there may be other problems hidden deeper in the Language Pack installation routine. Is there any way to properly reset these menus without ripping the language packs back out and trying to reinstall them again?
I’ve seen several other posts with major issues on the Language Packs and don’t want to mess up a functioning install. Reply with necessary information to help you further. Thank you. I clicked the hyperlink for “Not Installed” and it took me to the web page titled Language Accessory Pack for Office From there I selected Korean and it downloaded setuplanguagepack.
I thought it unusual to be an x86 vs an x64, but I noted earlier on the page it indicates “can be installed on either bit or bit versions of Office Haven’t heard anything back, so I did a little more investigating. Check your settings on ‘Language for non-Unicode programs’ in Control panel. It is a bug in the programing source code share. It will not effect your normal workings. Thanks again.
